Static and dynamic are not the same thing

Most tools blur the line on purpose. Here is the honest version.

Static · available now

The destination lives in the image

It works forever, needs no server and never expires. But it cannot be changed: once the code is printed, the destination is printed too.

Right for a WiFi password, a contact card, or a link that will never move.

Dynamic · in build

The destination lives on your domain

The code points at a short redirect you control, so you can change where it goes after printing. Fix a broken link on 5,000 menus without reprinting one.

It runs on your own domain, so if you ever leave, repoint the DNS and every printed code keeps working.

Questions

No. A static code has the destination baked into the image itself, so there is no server that can go away and nothing to renew.
Yes, and without a watermark or an account. Dynamic codes will be the paid product later. Everything you see here stays free.
Yes: menus, packaging, signage, business cards. No attribution required.
Not with a static code. That is exactly what dynamic codes solve, and they are in build now.
A centre logo covers modules. Level H keeps roughly 30% of the code recoverable, so scanners still read it. At lower levels the logo alone spends the whole budget, and the code fails once it is printed and picks up a scuff.
Never. Generation happens in your browser, so no request is made with what you type. That includes WiFi passwords.
